Statement of Faith

God - We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

God the Father - We believe in God the Father, and infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in Holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He concerns himself mercifully in the affairs of men and women, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who come to him through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ - We believe that Jesus Christ is God's eternal Son, and has precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections as God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. He is truly God and truly Man, conceived by Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe in his sinless life, his substitutionary atonement, his bodily resurrection from the dead, his ascension into heaven, his priestly intercession on behalf of his people, and his personal, visible return from heaven.

The Holy Spirit - We believe that the Holy Spirit is a Person, that He is fully divine and sent from the Father. He is present in the world to make every person aware of their need for Jesus Christ and to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. He regenerates and indwells the believer and is a constant teacher and guide, and He provides the enabling power for victorious living and dedicated service.

The Bible - We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings complete as the revelation of God's will for salvation, and the supreme and final authority in all matters to which they speak. We believe the Bible, written by human authors inspired by the Holy Spirit, is God's revelation of Himself to man.

Salvation - We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. This salvation is based upon the sovereign grace of God. It was purchased by Christ on the cross and is received through faith apart from any human merit, works, or ritual. We believe salvation results in righteous living, good works, and proper social concern.

Eternity - We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, both saved and lost, and in the eternal existence of all people in either heaven or hell. Believers will live in everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, unbelievers will be separated from God in everlasting conscious punishment.

As one body in Christ, we agree that:

  • In essential beliefs - we have unity.
  • In non- essential beliefs - we have freedom.
  • In all our beliefs - we show love.
